A nice gentle introduction into gravel with the first UCI world series in the UK @grallochgravel .
It was all going so well until it wasn’t. The bunch was down to 4 riders behind @swiftconnor . When both me and @alistair.brownlee punctured out of contention.
I had some surprisingly good legs despite not training half as much as I used to
The mighty @moda_bikes also stood it’s own against some seriously expensive bikes. Not many bikes can do a full winter with mud guards on and then also fight it out at the sharp end of a UCI gravel race.
A huge thanks to @ukfreewheel for helping to get the bike transformed into gravel racer, @secrettrainingcc for fueling the whole thing and @rapha_uk for kitting me out in some nice kit too!
All in all it was a great experience and something I’m keen to do again.
